Spring Reading Thing

Katrina at Callapidder Days is hosting a Spring Reading challenge - all you need to do is set some type of reading goal and try to achieve that goal by June 19th. I love to read and am always looking for an excuse to talk about books, so this works for me!
My goal is to complete my Jane Austen/18-19th century study by then. I've completed four of Austen's novels, a biography about her life, and a few books on the time period. Here is the list of books that I would like to read by the deadline:
- Jane Austen: A Life by Claire Tomalin
- Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen
- Emma by Jane Austen
- Writer's Guide to Everyday Life in Regency and Victorian England by Kristine Hughes
- High Society in the Regency Period by Venetia Murray
- Dickens' Fur Coat and Charlotte's Unanswered Letters by Daniel Pool
- Regency Style by Steven Parissien

I sense a theme in your reading. Looks intriguing. Enjoy!
What a great list! I love the classics you have on there. I have been trying to read more classics lately. Have fun reading :-)
Glad to see the Austen on your list. I've been reading most of the Austen in celebration of the PBS movies.
Should I confess that I've never read a Jane Austen book? I've started a few... and I've seen Sense & Sensibility. But Pride & Prejudice is sitting on my bookshelf so I know I'll get to it eventually. :) Thanks for being part of SRT '08.
That sounds like a wonderful project - loose oneself in the Regency period. Have fun!
I'm seeing a LOT of Austen on these lists...I feel like I'm missing out on something very enjoyable;-)
I too have never read Austen -- I have two of her novels on my 888 challenge list...but I haven't gotten to them yet. I have this fear that I'll be bored to tears...and I hope it's quite unfounded.
